One of my primary role models since I began my mission has been Peace Pilgrim (1908-1981), who simplified her life and began her pilgrimage in 1953, walking more than 25,000 miles across and around the United States, speading her message: "This is the way of peace: Overcome evil with good, falsehood with truth, and hatred with love." During the last years of her life, she had to accept transportation rather than walk because she had speaking engagements all over the country. And that's how she died--in a traffic accident. I am presenting here a few of my favorite words of Peace Pilgrim.

"You have free will as to whether you will begin the spiritual growing up. The beginning of it is the time when you feel completely willing, without any reservations, to leave the self-centered life."

"I always have a feeling of awe and wonder at what God can do--using me as an instrument."

"Tremendous energy comes with anger. Do not suppress it; that would hurt you inside. Do not express it; this would not only hurt you inside, it would cause ripples in your surroundings. What you do is transform it. You somehow use that tremendous energy constructively on a task that needs to be done, or in a beneficial form of exercise. As you use the energy constructively, you lose the anger habit."

"Every experience is what you make of it, and it serves a purpose. It might inspire you, it might educate you, or it might come to give you a chance to be of service in some way."

"The medicine this sick world needs is love."

"If we fear nothing and radiate love, we can expect good things to come."

"The most important part of prayer is what we feel, not what we say. We spend a great deal of time telling God what we think should be done, and not enough time waiting in the stillness for God to tell us what to do."

"Worry is not concern. Worry is a useless mulling over of things we cannot change."

"Unnecessary possessions are unnecessary burdens. If you have them, you have to take care of them."

"Meet every situation with love, and you will be able to handle it."

"Forget yourself, and concentrate on being of service as much as you can in this world, and then, having lost your lower self in a cause greater than yourself, you will find your higher self--your real self."

I hope I have aroused your curiosity enough that you will want to read more. The organization that continues to spread the message is Friends of Peace Pilgrim. For a complimentary copy of the little booklet "Steps Toward Inner Peace," e-mail friends@peacepilgrim.org or call 1-530-620-0333. Be sure to request information about the other materials available, including the book about her life.

I consider Peace Pilgrim a saint. I'm NOT a saint, but she is a wonderful role model. Many blessings upon all of you who make it possible for me to continue serving as an Instrument of the Divine in this world. I Am Angel-Light. I Am That I Am.
