Received an e-mail recently from a supporter who had been
diagnosed with a disease, and who has been in a lot of pain. I was reminded of
her last night when I felt a pain somewhere in my body. As my hand
automatically went to the area, I found myself speaking words that I haven't
used in a while, and it is time to share them.
Once your hand is as near the area of pain or discomfort as you
can reach, go into your heart center and take several slow, deep breaths as you
press the area firmly. Relax your breath and continue to breathe easily and
effortlessly as the love in your heart expands. Imagine yourself in the area of
pain or discomfort, and speak these words silently to yourself while breathing
slowly, establishing a rhythm, one phrase/sentence to each complete breath:
Feel my hand. Feel my love. We are one. Feel my hand. Feel my love. We are one.
Feel our love. Feel our love. We are one. We are here now. We are here now.
Feel our love. We are one. Feel our love. Feel our love. Feel our love.
Continue to speak the words silently. When a feeling of peace comes, speak
silently: Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is awesome! You can also choose
a part of the body that isn't in pain or discomfort, perhaps a place where the
body was injured in the past, a place where the body is scarred, perhaps a
personal and private area if one was molested. You get the idea.
