SOUL SOURCE (OVERSOUL) CONNECTION

The reader might want to refer to the August 18, 2014 article
titled “Oversoul Connection,” parts of which will be included here. That was almost four years ago, and I mostly
used the term “Oversoul.” These days I mostly
use the term “Soul Source.”
Yesterday, when chatting by phone with another healing/wellbeing
facilitator, I used the term “Soul Source,” and she asked me to define. That’s one reason for the writing of this
article. Also, today I commented in a
Facebook thread started by someone wanting some input as follows: “The
integrity of one's Soul Source connection is important to optimize and maintain. For most
of us, that fluctuates to varying degrees depending on this, that, or the
other. A couple week ago, I found mine wasn't as optimal as it needed to be and
immediately fixed it. Just checked and found yours could use some work at this
time, too. Here's something simple that is useful: "I Am [your name], and
I give thanks for the optimizing of the integrity of my Soul Source
connection--with ease, joy, glory, and permanence--now." Again, aloud with
purposeful intent and with feeling--for a week and then every now and then for
maintenance. Sure, there are other things we can do, but the power of the
spoken word (which attracts assistance) is often ignored. Simple. We tend to
make things more complex than they need to be. Why not start with the basics?”

The term “Oversoul” is most commonly identified with the
transcendentalism of Ralph Waldo Emerson and is said to have come into
existence in 1844. Emerson coined the
word Oversoul, www.hi-des-website.com tells us, while a divinity student at
Harvard University. The word comes from the Greek word, Psyche, meaning
"the Soul" and Hyper, meaning "over" or "hyper."
This name was readily acceptable to global students, of all faiths, as a
generic, non-sectarian term meaning "over abiding presence" i.e., the
Creator. The philosophical concept was developed by the Greek philosopher Plato
(427-347 B.C.). Dictionary definitions
of the word Oversoul seem to all relate the term to transcendentalism.
From the 2014 article: There
are various opinions about what the Oversoul is, and sometimes the word is used
interchangeably with Overself. According
to Dr. Joshua David Stone (and others, of course): “We come from our God Self, Monad or Mighty
I AM Presence. This divine aspect of our being then creates the so-called
Oversoul or Higher Self, which is the Soul family to which our individual Soul
belongs. Our individual Soul is that part of ourselves that reincarnates over
and over again in order to evolve and ultimately return to our God Self or
Monad.”
Also from the 2014 article:
Here are some words of Christopher Penczak: “The oversoul is the larger
energy from which the soul extends. Many think of the oversoul as a “soul
family” or “soul group,” as twelve souls extend out from the oversoul. . . .
Some think of the oversoul as the higher self, or at least one aspect of the
higher self. . . . The oversoul is rooted within the monad, the central core of
consciousness that extends out from the source of creation. The monad is like
the higher self of the higher self, closest to the source of creation. The
monad creates twelve oversouls, who likewise each create twelve individual
souls to potentially become incarnate beings. So each monad has 144 souls
extending from it.”
Here's a thought: If the
integrity of one’s Soul Source/Oversoul/Divine/etc. connection is less than
optimal, then one cannot receive guidance and input clearly. Again:
"I Am [your name}, and I give thanks for the optimizing of the
integrity of my Soul Source connection--with ease, joy, glory, and
permanence--now."
