Have you ever exclaimed "Did I say that?" or "Where did that come from?" after words that you did not consciously intend issue from your mouth? Have you ever experienced a strong desire for a particular food that you hadn't eaten in many years, such as something you had a lot during childhood? These often originate with a subpersonality. (It is recommended that you read the previous blog, "Souls and Personalities," as background for this blog.) By subpersonalities, we are not meaning multiple personalities as in Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).

Subpersonalities, which, as you might surmise, dwell in the subconscious, develop for various reasons (typically in childhood, but also throughout a lifetime). Among the reasons are the suppressed reactions to abuse and traumas to self and others, and needs being unmet (and suppressed). For example, if one places one's self on a rigid liquid nutrition program for a lengthy period of time, this suppresses the natural inclination of the human body-mind unit to consume a variety of foods, and the results can be the formation of a subpersonality (or strengthening of an existing subpersonality). If one is innately inclined toward the arts but has to work in business 60+ hours a week for years because of financial constraints, well, you can guess where we're going with this. Actually, the topic is far too broad to be covered well in a blog. Our purpose for addressing it is multifold.

It is important for ones to realize that if the needs of subpersonalities are not indulged sufficiently (and that varies according to the individual), then the mental health of the individual can be compromised, which is not to say that immoral desires are to be fulfilled. Such as these are to be addressed with a qualified mental health professional (one who has researched the subject). It is important that the desires/needs of each facet of a personality be sufficiently met or, again, discussed with a mental health professional. Failure to do so for a lengthy period of time (suppressing) can bring on a full fledged case of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), previously known as Multipersonality Disorder (MPD), and/or criminal acts.

There is a direct correlation between mental health and spiritual health. Please do not assume that by "spiritual" we mean "religious," for that is not the case. Our primary focus at this time is spiritual healing, although we are continuing with the other aspects of our Love Work.

Seeking to serve (locally and long distance), we are one known as Angel-Light. Our healing/teaching mission at this level of existence is supported by donations of persons who appreciate and value our service.
