PROGRAMMING FOR WELLBEING

Yesterday evening I requested inspiration for a blog article because it had been a month since the last one.  When I awakened too early this morning, I lingered in alpha consciousness for an hour or so, chanting words of affirmation, as is my usual practice.  Then it occurred to me that the next blog article would be about self-programming. 

So, I already had the subject of this article in mind before I saw a post on Facebook from someone who had watched “serial killer shows” before going to sleep and suffered the consequences. That is related to the subject of self-programming and not conducive to wellbeing. “You are what you eat” has become commonly used in conversations and articles relating to health and wellbeing.  Another sentence I come across is, “You are what you put into your mind,” and/or “You are what you allow into your mind.” That could be music, movies, images, etc.  Violence breeds violence. Some words have come from the mouths of people of low consciousness over the years that are now in common use.

Let’s get back to conscious and intentional self-programming.  How do you spend your time when you awake in the middle of the night?  Of course, we keep our eyes closed. Next comes some deep breathing and then, if we’re able, full-body breathing.  Full-body breathing is when you sense your entire body expanding out when you inhale and contracting inward when you let go of the breath. Some people require practice over time to reach the level of full-body breathing, easily and effortlessly, and that’s okay.  You can still use this programming technique.

It is to chant silently in sync with the breaths. You can make a list of words to begin with at some point during the day, but you will probably find some new words come to mind while chanting. Some may surprise you, but they may be exactly what you need. For example, the words “healthy, lungs” came to mind for me recently.  No lung issues that I know of, but I do live in a very polluted neighborhood.  I chant “strong, healthy” a lot, as well as “strong, body, healthy mind.”  I chant “healthy, happy, healthy, well” silently at night but also aloud during the day. I chant “free, clear” and “healthy, well” and “loving, kindness” and “relax” and “at ease.”   If you find yourself worrying or rehashing some incident when wanting to sleep, chant “sweet peace” over and over. (Again, remember to be in sync with breaths.). I could go on and on with more words I chant, but I’ll stop here.  What words come to your mind?

The ”moral of this story” (blog) is:  Don’t waste valuable time when you are the most programmable.
