Many people are surprised to discover and realize they haven’t been breathing optimally and don’t know that there are ways to breathe to relax the body and mind, which improves health and wellbeing in various ways, including slowing heart rate and lowering blood pressure over time.  For best results, breathing to relax for a few minutes every day is to be a regular practice over time.

Try this:  With one hand on your chest and the other on your belly, gently take a slow, deep breath in through the nose, so that your abdomen and diaphragm visibly move as if you are inflating a balloon. You won’t feel your upper chest move or shoulders raise a lot if you’re doing this correctly.  Then allow the air to leave through your mouth. After 3 to 5 of these breaths, close your mouth and breathe in and out through the nose. Over time, with practice, you’ll take in more air and feel your lungs stretch.  Practice this relaxing breath for about ten minutes every day. As you practice, you’ll reach the point where you’re taking six to ten of these slow, deep breaths every minute.  Try not to miss a day, but don’t be concerned if you do.

There’s something you can do to make this type of breathing even more beneficial—that is, instructing your body while you are deep breathing, which has the effect of programming the body . Think of these words (singular and combination):  at-ease, relax, sweet-peace, peace-calm, center, balance. The words center and balance and relax have two syllables each. At-ease and sweet-peace and peace-calm are two words and two syllables each. All these words are recommended for relaxing. The reader may think of others. Think the first syllable of each when inhaling and the next when exhaling: "cent-er” or "bal-ance" or “at-ease” or “sweet-peace” or “peace-calm.”  Repeat several times.

Making deep breathing a habit (so that you take a deep breath whenever you think about it) enhances the wellbeing.

“I did not come into this world alone. I came here with a team.”  These are the words over an image of a host of angels I saw on Facebook recently and re-shared because that is my truth.  We’re on mission to assist humanity through this human body-mind unit.  And that is why regular readers will often see the pronoun “we” instead of “I” being used.  We are all one, but we are also individual units of consciousness.

Recently, I came across the following words of Maurice Cook, a spiritual and metaphysical teacher and author:  "It is love alone that can surmount the barriers of distrust and hatred which man has thrown up due to his violent and aggressive ways. It is love alone which allows one to perceive that selfishness and the manipulation of others are not noble or spiritual paths to follow.  And it is love alone which can displace the lust for possessions in the mind of one who is caught in that dreadful trap.  For only love can broaden the understanding to the point where the soul sees that the purpose of life is not to collect but to give, not to hinder but to help others, not to aggrandize the self, but to place it into the service of the creative forces that have made this realm of earth, man, and all the myriads of creatures which inhabit its many places and sub-realms."   This our human body-mind unit was placed in service as described as a result of pleas on the part of this person to serve and suitability confirmed. There have been complications in recent years causing difficulties for our mission, but we keep on keeping on as best we can.    

I subscribe to the daily quotes of Esther Hicks/Abraham. The following words were translated from a January 2002 teaching session and were shared recently in the daily quotes: “Nobody else knows your reason for being. You do. Your bliss guides you to it. When you follow your bliss, when you follow your path to joy, your conversation is of joy, your feelings are of joy—you're right on the path of that which you intended when you came forth into this physical body.”  Again:  “Nobody else knows your reason for being. You do. Your bliss guides you to it. When you follow your bliss, when you follow your path to joy, your conversation is of joy, your feelings are of joy—you're right on the path of that which you intended when you came forth into this physical body.”  Once more: “Nobody else knows your reason for being. You do. Your bliss guides you to it. When you follow your bliss, when you follow your path to joy, your conversation is of joy, your feelings are of joy—you're right on the path of that which you intended when you came forth into this physical body.” 

If you don’t know your bliss, find it. You’ll know it by the description in these words of Esther Hicks/Abraham.

My bliss is being in circulation, out and about, touching hearts and healing hearts, actively serving as Healing/Wellbeing Facilitator—Spirit, Mind, Body, Environment, which includes teaching and loving and providing food and clothing and other needs as best as I can.  I thrive when actively engaged in our ministry. I didn’t come into this realm to lead a selfish life.  One can say about difficulty:  “This too shall pass.” It’s about time!
