I had saved the
September 6, 2015 “Daily Words” from Center for Spiritual Living of Dallas,
Texas for use in a blog article, but I’m just now getting around to it. “A universal
treat that you get to enjoy! Spiritual Mind Treatment (affirmative prayer) is
the synchronization of the individual (you) with the Universal Mind (God). It
is the blending of the individual with the Universal. You merely become the
vehicle through which the Universal acts. Isn't it wonderful to know that you
can direct this action to a given end/outcome? What a treat!”
For those
that have any doubts, as we’ve explained previously on the ♥Angel-Light Beamer♥
site, affirmations (and decrees) are a form of prayer. When in general conversation one speaks, “I
Am _____ [feeling ill, afraid, worried, or whatever words], one is naming and claiming
the words spoken after “I Am.” The
contraction “I’m” manifests to a lesser degree, but it works, too. So it is good to weigh one's words and practice
making positive statements, such as “I Am going to feel better tomorrow.” One
can get in the habit of making positive statements, with practice, so that it
is no longer necessary to monitor what one speaks. Actually, it starts in the mind—with the
thoughts. So it is to get in the habit of positive thinking, which induces
positive feelings.
I know for a
fact that thousands of people decree/affirm consciously and intentionally as a
form of prayer. Pray any way you wish--beginning
with “Dear Lord” if that’s what you want to do.
Just don’t discount the power of other forms of prayer. We have shared
several suggested forms on the ♥Angel-Light Beamer♥ over the years. Just take your pick or mix and match, not
limiting self to one format for all prayers.
And, as Larry
Dossey, best-selling author, admonishes in his writings: “Be careful what you pray for; you just might
get it!”
