Found words to add to my collection of favorite quotes in Shirley MacLaine's latest book, "Sage-ing While Age-ing," which I finished reading recently (and will review in another blog): "If we follow our bliss, as Joseph Campbell said, "our 'moira,' a term the Greeks used to define higher destiny, we will be doing what we feel most inwardly qualified and inclined to do, regardless of the social and material consequences."
I really resonate with those words! Healing, teaching, loving. Loving, teaching, healing. Social and material consequences? You bet! But I'm surrendered and committed to following my "higher destiny."
