article is adapted from the April 17, 2010 ♥Angel-Light Beamer♥ article titled,
“Divine Gifts.” Someone had written
requesting how he could bring out all the spiritual and metaphysical “gifts” he
knew were stored within him somewhere.
I responded: From my perspective (and it is okay if our
perspectives are different), I have not gifts, and "I of myself can do
nothing," but it is Divine within who "does the works." I am
just a humble (seek to be humble, anyway) Divine instrument. On the other hand,
I Am the Soul and living mostly as Divine Soul, so there are abilities and (I'm
given) "virtues" that are part of my repertoire. One can approach the
"gifts" in several ways. One is to ask Divine to be used as a Divine
Instrument in service to humanity, and to ask to be purified so as to be
suitable for such service. One prayer I have is: "Oh, Christ Divine, make
me your healing instrument. Let my entire being be filled with compassion for
those who are suffering. Let your healing and rejuvenating power flow through my instrument." This is how I began in the 1980s when I also
spent a lot of time in prayer and meditation.
Also, one can tap into the knowledge gained in experiences in other lives and bring that information into the present life. The key is not to open a Pandora's box in so doing and bring forth a lot of stuff that you don't want in this life. For example, one might have lived a life as a herbalist, etc. but also persecuted and rejected in that life. I can guarantee you that if one has a sincere desire to serve (assist others) and spends time in prayer (asking) and meditation (listening) and acting upon guidance received (to cut down on the consumption of meat, in my case, and eventually give it up), one day the doors will start to open and one will find one's self doing things and saying things that benefit others, and one discovers one's physical presence can be healing and therapeutic for others. If one's motive is self-glorification, then not a lot is going to happen. Also, one may take all sorts of trainings and get certifications and approach it that way. That works! However, I didn't do that. Things came "natural" for me, and all I needed to know was given me.

I want to tell you a
story about an individual I knew in the first half of the 1990s, whom I’ll call
John Doe. John had purchased the healing
practice of the founder of a type of energy healing, complete with textbooks.
When he did healing energy sessions, he had his book open and went by the book.
I turned down his offer of sessions several times. When I knew it was his time
to learn, I agreed to a session, but with conditions. John was to begin as the textbook instructed
but then was to forget about it and place his hands wherever and however Spirit
guided him. He couldn't believe the difference in the flow of energies! Much
stronger! John learned a valuable lesson. It was demonstrated again when I sent
a soul sister who was visiting from out of state to his office for a session.
John told me later that he just mostly followed Spirit, and the energy coming
through him was even stronger than it has been in my session. Blew him away!
