“Soul Design: A Regressionist’s Guide to Past Lives, Origins & Purpose”” (Llewellyn, 2025) is the latest of four books by Dr. Linda Backman. “Soul Essence Psychology” (SEP), on which “Soul Design” and Dr. Backman’s other books are based, is the mode to illuminate our soul design based on past lives, soul origin, archetype, and life purpose. “Soul Design” was, for me, very thought-provoking, and I chose to put aside my knowledge about soul origins so as to be open to new information. I had to close this book and ruminate quite a few times as I was reading. Fortunately, it occurred to me to place brackets around sentences I might want to include in a “book report,” so it was not difficult for me to create this blog.

The following are excerpts that will surely arouse the reader’s interest.

Your incarnate soul is a fragment, a sliver, of the totality of your divine energy or Higher Self (HS).  Souls embodied on earth dwell at a higher frequency called the spiritual realm, while our human self is our embodied soul on earth. When we begin a new incarnation, we contain a holographic slice of the totality of our soul energy.  The challenge for souls is to function within a human culture, holding fast to our trust that we are souls having a human experience.   It is easy for incarnate souls  to become caught up in emotions and pain in response to the human behavior around them.

Consider three possibilities of your soul origin and where your Higher Self exists. Ninety to ninety-five percent of humanity consists of Earth-Based Souls (EBS) who begin their gradual journey to evolve on earth as young souls at the kindergarten stage of development. EBS incarnate over and over evolving on earth. Currently, most of these incarnated EBS are moderately evolved, meaning they’ve gained a mid-range level of soul development. The Higher Self (HS) of Earth-Based Souls is always in the spiritual energy tied to our soul origin.  For EBS, the HS resides in the earth’s spiritual realm at an energetic frequency beyond our planet. EBS work together in soul pods and select souls to serve in upcoming life roles. The EBS soul originates in and resides at an energetic frequency tied to the earth’s spiritual realm. EBS become highly familiar with life in an earth body because of their nearly exclusive terrestrial incarnation.

On the other hand, Inter-Planetary Souls (IPS) and Angelic-Realm Souls (ARS) have not had most of their lives on earth.  Most IPS and ARS know/sense they are different than most people on earth.

Inter-Planetary Souls, come from a location in the vast celestial realm, where their Higher Self resides, such as a planet, star, interdimensional energy, or spacecraft. Approximately one to two percent of humans are IPS.  IPS souls appear to have amassed significant soul knowledge before embodying on earth. IPS are not designed for life on earth and often grapple with health and emotion-based challenges. Coping with living within the human body and facing unwholesome human behavior can be troubling for them. Often IPS are entirely caught off-guard by the way humans function. Life on earth is, in many ways, utterly opposite to life at an IPS home. IPS souls often struggle with being on earth and assimilating sufficiently to satisfy the goals of their life blueprint.

Angelic Realm Souls (ARS) begin and remain in the setting where angels support the high frequency known as God and Source, in the energetic realm.  ARS convey a deep and genuine energy of love and compassion for all living things, almost to a fault. ARS must be cautious not to give so much of themselves that they deplete their resources. ARS are only one to two percent of humanity. ARS must embrace their core of gentleness and caring while not viewing self as too soft.  Some ARS are guided by any archangel, while others receive support from another ARS. ARS are cautioned to be sure to care for themselves and not give all their energy away. ARS are highly unique in their nature and approach to life. Although all experienced souls are generally sensitive to energy and emotion, an ARS is the most sensitive and caring type of person.

Advanced souls, such as IPS, always arrive in body to advance humanity. At the same time, unevolved souls can intrude into human life to do their toxic work and delay the progress of earthly culture.  To function with instinctive awareness of how to aid others, a human person must be relatively porous energetically, which can lead to an impact from low-level, unhealthy forces. However, even the most advanced soul is not without blemish.

We always have a primary or lead spiritual guide who is ever present. It is a misunderstanding to assume that your primary guide must be a soul separate from your own soul. Our primary guide is always more evolved than we are currently. It is common for an IPS to have a guide from the home location, often in non-humanoid form. When your Soul/Higher Self is your lead guide, then it is a sure thing you are an IPS or ARS.

Keep communing with your Higher Self (HS), give it a name, and [as you read this book] be open to ascertaining if you are an Earth-Based Soul  (EBS), an Inter-Planetary Soul (IPS), or an Angelic Realm Soul (ARS).

The following is excerpted from an email I wrote to someone today.

I consider my body my partner and counsel others to do the same—to express appreciation to the body, to thank the body for hosting you,  express love for the body, to apologize to the body for stubbing your toe or bumping into something, etc.  I also advise asking the body for what is wanted.  To put something we are not sure of whether to purchase (such as a book) or to make a choice between two similar items (t-shirts, for example) up against or very close to the solar plexus, and asking the body if it wants [whatever]. If the body moves, even slightly inside, toward the object, it's a yes. If body moves backward, it's a no. If there is no movement, body isn't sure or doesn't know. (Maybe you need to buy both t-shirts!  Ha-ha!) Other types of muscle-testing are available, too, but I like this the best. It’s easy and one doesn’t need assistance to do it.

If there is a pain, one can instruct the body to clear, release, heal, or whatever one senses is needed.  Release seems to be an important word.  "Body, please release and clear all inflammation now.  Thank you."  Thank you is always important—especially in advance.  "Body, please restore the blood pressure to normal range now. Thank you."  To cover possibilities, I ask the body to dissolve any and all blood clots in a safe and healthy way. And, I ask the body to disintegrate and dissolve any and all stones (gall bladder and kidney). I instruct my body to relax sometimes. Lots of other things. 

Programming the body is "easier" than one might think.  Over and over, aloud or silently:  "strong body, healthy well"; "center, balance"; and lots of others that don't come to mind at the moment.

Lately, the more progress I make on my ascension/raising my vibration, the more challenges that seem to arise.  I understand from high-level spiritual teachers over the years that this is normal. Whew!

I'm very aware that I don't "know it all" and I'm still exploring, learning, etc.  However, there was another post on Facebook this morning that I refrained from commenting on—despite knowing I could suggest some ways for the poster to address his issues.  There was just too big a gap between what I wanted to suggest and where he was in his knowledge. That happens to me more often these days. I can "see" where he is, even why he is where he is. I just don't want to have to explain in detail, as would be required.   Maybe you have similar experiences.  For me, I suspect it is age-related. Weary, tired.  These days I’ve been focusing on my own evolving/ascension rather than tackle complicated issues for someone else.

 A Healing Facilitator whose reality is close to my own posted some suggestions on Facebook recently that I also shared, and I need to be reminding myself of these often.   No. 6 about choices/options becoming more limited I’ve read elsewhere in recent weeks.   

 According to Alex Martin Bee (clarityhypnosis.eu):  During one session of Healing Soul Journey, the Higher Self gave the following advice to the subject:

1. Go within and open your heart to prepare for ascension.

2. Balance logic and emotion, responding to life situations from a heart-centered perspective.

3. Deal with past mistakes by looking at them, handling the associated emotions, and forgiving yourself.

4. Focus on the question "How well have I loved?" as a measure of spiritual growth.

5. Be careful when asking for ET assistance or intervention, as it may lead to unintended consequences.

6. Continue on your spiritual path, as choices [options] are becoming more limited as ascension approaches.

7. Use visualization to connect with the "Internet of Life" and access universal information.

8. Practice connecting to both heaven and earth, using yourself as a conduit for information flow.

9. Use breath work to bring spiritual information through and bring it to life.

10. Be patient with people and work on being more heart-based in your interactions.

11. If you can't handle a situation, back off and take a deep breath to realign yourself.

12. Be open to making major life decisions as you approach spiritual crossroads.

 

I don't always agree with Alex on everything, but close. Of all the healing facilitators "putting stuff out there" I've come across, his reality is very similar to mine. 

 

Alex also shared recently an image of a "devil with horns" with this caption on it: "DON’T GO TO THE LIGHT WHEN YOU DIE. IT’S A TRAP.”  He commented above the image:  “We [he and others] found that Home is Light and Source is Light. There is no incarnational loop, anyone chooses to come back to grow and evolve on this difficult school. [I disagree a wee bit with the previous sentence. It's true, but there are also other reasons individuals incarnate here.] Spiritual warfare is real and is raging right now on all channels. This is what I [Alex] found in over 1000 sessions of Healing Soul Journeys. Listen to your intuition. Dark forces like to invert and use false egos ...  to sow confusion and trap souls in lower astral after their body dies. We found that Home is Light and Source is Light. There is no incarnational loop, anyone chooses to come back to grow and evolve on this difficult school.”

I generally agree with the previous paragraph, except where inserted in brackets. I know what makes me suspicious and what feels right.  As I continue to explore and practice, "the light is a trap" absolutely does NOT ring true to me..  I've never completely agreed with that.  When I don't agree, I look for reasons I can find to agree. Sometimes I find them; sometimes I don't.   I think it's a situation-related thing and that there are times when the light can be a trap.  So, one is required to discern each situation as to its merits. (As Alex wrote, "listen to your intuition.”)

I couldn’t manage to go to sleep after laying me down last night, so I sat up and started playing Dr. Jeffrey Thompson’s “Delta Sleep System,” which claims to help one “fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up rejuvenated.”  It has proven to be the best CD in my collection to induce sleep.

I played it twice before laying me down again to sleep because I felt I wanted to sit and pray for people and situations. So, I began praying for whoever came to mind. Now far be it for me to know what is best for another person, so I normally speak a general prayer aloud and let Divine do whatever is appropriate. This has been my practice for years.

Here’s my prayer for others: “In the name of Christ, I request a most benevolent outcome for the wellbeing of [person’s name, if known]—on a full and permanent basis now.”.  On occasion, I ask for the optimizing of the person’s wellbeing.  I also pray for locations, including the USA.  And, I pray for situations, including “in the matter of the sirens I’m hearing now.” 

When people choose to pray for me, I want wellbeing prayers—not specific prayers,. because no one knows what is best for me but my Soul Source  Wellbeing prayers cover everything.

Once during the first decade of my active mission/ministry, one of my knees was sore, and I couldn’t recall injuring it in any way.  So, I journeyed into my knee.  Found a wee elf-like being with tools there banging on the knee.  My initial reaction was to confront him, with: “This is by body, my space!”  His startled response was, “How did you know I was here?” I ordered him: “Pack up your tools and leave my body and never come back!”  He did just that!  The knee began feeling better immediately and the pain stopped soon after

Having some unusual things happening.  I had a hard fall yesterday. Nothing was broken (except perhaps some damage to the etheric body).  Just shaken and sore in places--shook up, so to speak. Body is great to be in its 80th birth year.  It was about 40 when the soul shift happened (by agreement).  Anyway, it occurred to me to actually "lay hands" on the knee that was sore as a result of the fall—rather than just hold the hand above the knee as had been my custom.  In the past, when I channeled energy for people (as an “Instrument of Divine”), not touching, the sensation of energy coming out and pulsing at times would start, and then stop when the energy session was complete (my signal to stop, as was also sometimes a red stop sign or the palm of a hand appearing on my mind screen). When I put one hand on top of my body’s sore knee, wow!  Energy came through strongly and pulsed as it came through for the knee.  After a while, I was guided to the other knee.

I guess my point in sharing this is to report that I'm having more opportunities and reminders to be my true self (as I’ve been requesting), rather than just communicating with nature spirits and channeling energy for my house and patio plants,  Actually, I'm in an "I don't care what people think” frame of mind—even if it makes me a target for hatefulness for one reason or another (and it has).

Was exploring old files recently and came across some of my blog articles that were shared long ago with the readers of Amy Martin’s “Moonlady News.”  “Energizing Made Easy” is one of them.  Here it is.

Ever wished for more energy to complete a task or to walk that extra mile?  Here are some quick and easy methods to generate more energy and increase the flow through your body.

One such method is spinning your body in a clockwise direction. Begin by simply focusing on the four directions [generally] and move slowly from one direction to another.  Gradually increase the speed of your spin—placing your arms in whatever position seems natural, feeling free to move them at any time.  To alleviate any dizziness and facilitate balance, find some object at eye level, and let that be your focal point. Every time you face that object when spinning, focus on it.  As with any procedure, you’ll become more comfortable with spinning with practice.

There are several breath techniques that provide energy, including this one (standing, if possible).  Take several rapid breaths in and out through the mouth, making sure to pull the air as far down into the abdomen as possible. You will usually see your abdomen expand when inhaling and retract when exhaling.  If not, intentionally make that happen. As you become more familiar with this procedure, your abdomen will expand and retract naturally.  Repeat silent to yourself over and over: “I am energized. I am vitalized.”  Breathe rapidly but be careful not to overdo.

Almost everyone knows that moving the body with intent can transform a tired body into a lively body.  Well, try moving the arms while standing to freshen your energy.  Start with the arms hanging by the sides of the body. Then swing them out and up so that the palms of your hands meet over your head.  Then swing the arms and hands down the front of your body, palms lose as far as they can go. At that point, swing them out to the sides until they are extended out from the sides of your body.   Remember to intentionally breathe throughout the process. Also, it is beneficial to silently instruct your body, such as using the word “energy” throughout.  I personally like, “I Am generating and emanating happy Healing Love Energy now.”

Last but not least, just pretend your arms and hands are brooms and sweep your electromagnetic body clean, slinging those arms freely everywhere you can reach, moving the body to access as much of your energy as possible.  Woo-hoo!

Don’t give up if you have difficulty with any of these selections from my collection. The more you practice, the easier it will become.  Practice, practice, practice!

Identifying as a walk-in beginning about 1985, I thought I had read and heard all there was to know about the subject (knowing the term “walk-in” is multifaceted).Yet, I purchased yet another book on the subject based on the mention of it by Ken Lloyd (www.kenlloydofficial.com) when listening to one of his intro videos.  Ken is described as “an energy field architect, soul infused walk-in, and transformational healer.”  A long-time acquaintance, whose opinions I value, had introduced her readers to Ken. I was attracted to her description of Ken, laughing with delight because Ken has a Team/Collective, and they serve in a same/similar manner as we the Angel-Light Team/Collective during the active years of our ministry/mission.

As I understand it, the book “Walk-ins—the Cosmology of the Soul” (Sheila Seppi (a walkin), 2020, 310 pp) was instrumental in Ken’s process of awakening to the knowledge of his walk-in status.  In her intro, Sheila comments: “This book is focused on the varieties of transient, transacted exchanges between bodies and souls…. for various reasons, one soul may make an agreement with another to trade forms. When we think of this in the human context, we call these people ‘walk-ins,’ as a new soul has ‘walked into’ an existing body.”  

Sheila describes six types of walk-ins in depth: soul exchanges; soul infusions; soul overlays; soul braids; soul jumpers; and soul layering (while others are described briefly). She classifies and discusses several classifications of soul origins—including earth seeds; source seeds; dimensional seeds; star seeds; wanderers; hybrid souls.  She includes portions of her interviews with various types of walk-ins—about twenty-five (including fifteen or so first-person accounts), which makes it all the more enjoyable.

In my opinion, “Walk-ins—The Cosmology of the Soul” covers the subject of walk-ins (of various types) better than any other I can remember.  I recommend it highly (although I’m not meaning to suggest it is the “know-all-end-all” source on the subject). I do pass books on to others, but this one is a keeper for my collection.

Words are powerful magnifiers and creators and have been used intentionally to create change. We would like to recommend the word “vibrate” and its various forms. An informal definition of vibration is “a person's emotional state, the atmosphere of a place, or the associations of an object, as communicated to and felt by others.”

Using the statement/affirmation “I Am vibrating in harmony with ________” has been found to be an affective way to shift one’s frequencies., “I Am vibrating in sync with ________” can be even more powerful.  Being in sync with something is being (loosely speaking) the same, while being in harmony with something or someone means being compatible. Many people report sensing shifts in the body after using the action verb "vibrating" in this way.

It should be clear from reading the preceding paragraph that vibrating in harmony is the more gentle way to shift frequencies. After we are proficient in the use of “in harmony,” we will find times that the use of “in sync” will be appropriate.   One example of this is “wellbeing.”  Vibrating in sync with “wellbeing” is a good thing, and it’s personal—different for each and every one. On the other hand, vibrating “in sync” with “abundance” can be contrary to a person’s life plan at one time or another, and making the affirmation, “I Am vibrating in sync with abundance” can be too much for the subconsciousness to accept, while “I Am vibrating in harmony with abundance” allows the subconscious to shift more easily.

To shift your frequencies to a higher vibration. Being each statement/affirmation with: “I Am vibrating in harmony.”  End each with “now” or “on a full and permanent basis now,” whichever seems appropriate to you personally. So, what do you want to vibrate in harmony with?  Here are some suggestions: healthy and well; wellbeing; love and joy; freedom; light; peace; lightness; loving kindness; compassion.  No doubt, more will come to mind after you begin the practice of shifting frequencies in this way.

Speaking the words is not magical, but so doing begins the process of shifting and changing and moves it along. Yes, you can often feel the higher frequencies from the beginning.

Regular followers know that that I worked with a team and used the pronoun “we” a lot during the years my ministry was active.  Actually, spontaneous opportunities still arise to be of service. I like to say we’re part-time in these retirement years because when communicating with others, we naturally share. And, there are times when we are called to “travel” to remote locations to serve.

Recently,  I opened an email from Cosmic (my word) Carla Fox to read her latest blog. I found myself smiling and then laughing with joy. Here’s why Carla starts the blog with: “I have been working with Ken Lloyd extensively for the past few months.  Ken is an energy healer who is assisted by his “team” of 22 higher aspects of himself.  These are his Higher Self, Oversoul aspects and many off planet aspects as well.   He uses light language channeled from his team to do the work, but not always.  The light language is encoded for healing and also ascension frequency acceleration.  I have been aware for some time that each one of us has a higher dimensional team that is assisting, whether we realize it or not.  My Quantum Sphere Healing work has never consciously made use of other beings, although now I realize that they have always been helping behind the scenes.”  (To read more of Carla’s blog titled “The Team,” go to https://thecarlafoxblog.blogspot.com .)  She describes something that happened recently, which is interesting. It’s easy to find other articles by name on Carla’s site to learn and to enjoy her travels and photos.

It’s very validating when other facilitators admit working with a team—whether it’s in healing or in teaching. I’ll admit to not sharing that we’re a team (the Angel-Light Collective) many times. On the other hand, I’ve shared stories on the ♥Angel-Light Beamer♥ about noticing one or more of my team members facilitating healing for others.

Clive Shane Herrington writes about this in his “Self-Healing Handbook: The Advanced Handbook of Soul Transformation”: A soul collective is a team of beings that together have a specific mission. As part of their mission, they all have different skills and qualities that are needed at particular times. In this regard, they can consciously exchange.  They use one human vehicle as a focal point within this reality, with the one being most suited to mission requirements at a particular time occupying the body

Esther Hicks/Abraham (who channels teachings) shared related information in August 1999:  Abraham is not a singular consciousness as you feel that you are in singular bodies. Abraham is collective consciousness. There is a stream or river of consciousness. As one of you asks a question, there are many, many points of consciousness that are funneling through what feels to be one perspective (because there is, in this case, one human, Esther, who is interpreting or articulating it), so it appears singular to you. We are multidimensional and multi-faceted and, certainly, multi-consciousness.  .

I’m finding more and more healing facilitators coming out of the “spiritual closet,” so to speak

I enjoy watching some of the short “reels” people post to Facebook, particularly those that are inspiring and informative, and those featuring people helping other people.

I almost didn’t watch the “reel” about chakras aka energy wheels/energy centers (the main seven) and affirmations. (How much more do I need to learn about chakras after decades of learning?)   I’m glad I did watch the “reel,” which was credited “to the universal noww” (yes, an extra w on now) brought to Facebook from Instagram made sense, and I want to play with it.

Everyone who has read my blog articles over many of the twenty years of its existence knows how much I’ve emphasized “I Am” affirmations and how important it is not to make a negative statement beginning with “I Am.” Well, the “reel” I watched claims that “I Am” affirmations are created from the root/base chakra, and they are a good thing. However, affirmations created from the other main chakras are important to include for wellbeing and manifestation, too.

I wrote the information in list format as I listened.  First, as mentioned already, “I Am” is base/root chakra based.”  “I feel” is from the sacral chakra.  “I do” is from the solar plexus chakra.  “I love” is, of course, from the heart chakra.  “I speak” is from the throat chakra.  “I see” is a brow/forehead (third eye) chakra

Affirmation.  Lastly, “I understand” is a crown chakra affirmation. Now doesn’t that all make sense?

So, I intend to practice creating and speaking affirmations from the perspective of the chakras.  I sense that when involving all the chakras when self-programming creates powerful energy.
