SOUL EXISTENCE

I have been asking for inspiration for a new blog article for several days now. Today, on Facebook, someone posted that she isn’t sure we humans have souls and wondered how we know we have a soul.
When I was responding to her post, I realized that I had found my inspiration. Here’s my short response:
A way to find out for yourself is to PRETEND and ACT AS IF you are a soul being hosted by a human body-mind unit and, most importantly, make your body your partner. Ask your body's opinion about what to eat, etc. If you stub your toe, apologize to your body. Tell your body "thank you," "I'm sorry," etc. Praise your body. Ask your body to unclog/decongest your bowels (if needed). Ask your body to "release and clear" something or other--the cause of the pain in an elbow, for example. Over time, with practice, you'll more often receive an answer in some way to your questions.
One of the ways to intentionally get your body's response is to hold a food you want to try, for example, next to your solar plexus. Then close your eyes, take a deep breath, instruct your body to learn forward if it wants to answer yes to your questions, backward if no, and to stay still if there is not an answer. Often the movement is strong, but just as often, the movement is light internal movement, with most answers in between. Then ask a question, for example, "Do you want this?" or "Is this safe?" Have your consciousness inside your body, and pay attention. Just a few suggestions of many.
I love and appreciate my 80-years-young body and tell it so.
