Recently, Bernhard Guenther (www.veilofreality.com) shared his
article, “The Perilous Path Towards Awakening,” on Facebook. When something seems important for me to read
slowly and is lengthy, I make a document and print it for study. My document of this article is 23+ pages and
10-point print, with narrow margins. In
the section titled “Traps on the Path Towards Awakening,” there is a
sub-section titled,“Trap of Forcefully Trying to Wake Up Others.” Because there are times when we (the
Angel-Light Team/Collective) decline to assist a person or choose to assist
minimally, the words in the next paragraph caught my attention. Words in
brackets are my words, and ellipses in brackets are where I didn’t include some
of the words of Bernhard in the excerpt.
“Giving [information
and/or assistance] without (sincere) asking” is a violation of free will. It
may interfere with the soul lesson/path of the other person involved – an
individual who needs to learn certain lessons for him/herself, even if that
entails long periods of suffering and struggle.
In this context, we cannot “do” anything for another person, nor “save”
them. If they are not engaged in the process of sincere self-work and earnestly
seeking truth for themselves, it will most likely be counterproductive to
engage with them […]. The “asking” part of the equation doesn’t have to be
verbal in nature; it depends upon the situation and context. On the other hand,
not every “asking” cue is sincere, so trusting one’s intuitive hunches
regarding what to share (and what to withhold) is important; simply being
“curious” is not a sincere form of “asking.”
On the other hand, it may be appropriate to give someone a
few tidbits of information to plant seeds of awakening and inspire personal
research, or to provide a teaspoon of information rather than a tablespoon. Over 25 years of being on mission aka ministry
has been a learning experience. We made
more errors in discernment as to who to engage with and how much to share or do
in the early years than in the later years. And it has been difficult to
disengage when we discover that an individual wants rescue and has little to any
interest in doing his/her “homework.” I confess that the “save the world”
inclination still comes up from time to time, although far less than
before. We care. Wisdom is the word.
Wisdom.
