One is to remember that the vast majority of humanity is living unconsciously. Otherwise harmless individuals (as opposed to criminals and such) don't think to invite someone behind them in line at the supermarket with only one or two items to go first or to motion someone who has been waiting to be checked out at a convenience store in a line that doesn't seem to be moving to move over and check out in the empty line he's just walked up to. Things like allowing someone to change highway lanes or merge into traffic by slowing down ever so slightly just don't occur to unconscious individuals.

One might take the stance that humans can't be divided into two categories--conscious and unconsciousness, that there are stages to both, and that is true. Indeed, a "ladder of consciousness" model is often used as a means to differentiate. The higher the rung on the ladder, the fewer humans one will find there.

One can express a desire to expand one's consciousness and affirm: "I Decree I Am...moving into a higher level of consciousness...Now." And it is recommended daily when first beginning. By virtue of so stating, insights will arrive and openings and opportunities will present themselves. Think upon this: Living is not about "me, myself, and I." It is about the family of humanity.
