Something in This Book Is True. Bob Frissell. Berkeley, CA: Frog Ltd. Books, 1997. Note: Bob Frissell's earlier book was Nothing in This Book Is True...But It's Exactly How Things Are. As far as I'm concerned, they are to be kept as a pair, with the earlier book to be read first. They are very good introductions to behind-the-scenes activities and nonphysical realities.
The Cosmic Code. Zecharia Sitchin. NY: Harper Collins, 1998. Note: I recommend all Sitchin's books, which are about pre-history. and which are based on ancient artifacts, including cuneiform writings. They are definitely eye openers.
A Field Guide to the Soul: A Down-To-Earth Handbook of Spiritual Practice. James Thornton. NY: Bell Tower, 1999.
Life Between Lives: Hypnotherapy for Spiritual Regression. Michael Newton, Ph.D. MN: Llewellyn, 2004. Note: This book is for spiritual healers.
Alien Entities; Beings From Beyond--A Look Behind the Door to the Spirit Realm. Lester Sumrall. Tulsa, OK: Harrison House, 1978. Note: Lester Sumrall is/was a fundamentalist/evangelical Christian pastor, but there is a lot of truth in this book nonetheless.
There is a River: The Story of Edgar Cayce. Thomas Sugrue. VA: ARE Press, 1942-1988. Note: Good book to escape into.
The Wonders of Solitude. Edited By Dale Salwak. CA: New World Library, 1998.
The Healing Light. Agnes Sanford. MN: Macalester Park, 1947-1951 . Note: This book has been in my collection for years, and every now and then I reread. It is quite inspirational.
Texas Tornado: The Autobiography of A Crusader for Women's Rights and Family Justice. Louise Ballerstedt Raggio with Vivian Castleberry. NY: Citadel Press, 2003. Note: These were both Dallas/Texas women. I Am woman hear me roar!
Religion Gone Bad: The Hidden Dangers of the Christian Right. Mel White. NY: Penguin, 2006. Note: This book is full of lots of interesting info and is largely unbiased. I found it valuable--despite finding it for $1.00 at a dollar store (hardback, I might add).
From the Ashes of Angels; The Forbidden Legacy of a Fallen Race. Andrew Collins. Vermont: Bear and Company, 1996, 2001. Note: This one is big and thick, but I could hardly put it down. Lots of pre-history and archaeological facts and religious history info. Fascinating!
The Secret of the Secret: Unlocking the Mysteries of the Runaway Bestseller. Karen Kelly. NY: St. Martin's Press, 2007. Note: I found this book for $1.00 in a dollar store. It gives background and adds substance to the "Law of Attraction" philosophy--how it evolved, came about, developed. It reveals information that will definitely enlighten enthusiastic (shall I say cultish?) "Law of Attraction" people would benefit from learning.
Brain & Belief: An Exploration of the Human Soul. John J. McGraw. CA: Aegis Press, 2004. Note: This 404-page book includes history, biology, philosophy, and more. Quite an education!
