Person: You know that thing you don't like about yourself--that other
thing you don't like about someone else? It's just your judgment. Let go of
your judgment because everyone is perfect the way they are!
Angel-Light: Let's
clarify this. Maybe I'm okay just the way I am, but I'm definitely not perfect.
Everyone can improve, and I admire people who continue to reach higher to
improve themselves. When we continue to create ourselves to become better, then
we are also making
the world a better place to live. Some goals could be more lovingkindness,
tolerance, compassion, nonjudgment, and less negative thoughts, stinginess,
etc., etc., etc.
Person: I both agree and
disagree. When we focus on imperfections, we are judging and that judging will
cause more of that which we do not "like" to show up. When we focus
on "perfect", we naturally navigate toward that which will make us a
better version of ourselves. This sounds strange seeing as how I am creating
audio programs to "correct imperfections", but this is becoming my
viewpoint.
Angel-Light: There is a
difference between judging and discerning--with discerning being necessary for
living at this level of existence, while judgment has come to mean strong
(usually negative) opinion (such as in a court case). And focusing on is
different than becoming/being aware of and addressing areas one has discerned
could be improved. If we tell ourselves we are perfect just the way we are, that
can be ego talking. And that's dishonest. Enlightenment acknowledges that there
is not perfection at this level of existence but also that one can strive to be
more perfect. It's a never-ending journey should one choose to take it.
