Alan Steinfeld (www.newrealities.com) asked ten people to provide nine chapters for “Making Contact: Preparing for the New Realities of Extraterrestrial Existence” (New York: St. Martin’s, 2021), and included a previously unpublished essay by Dr. John Mack (from the John E. Mack Institute) as one chapter, and created a chapter himself, to make a total of eleven chapters. Contributors are investigators, researchers, and experiencers (abductees and contactees). Because I recommend “Making Contact,” I want to write this review for the ♥Angel-Light Beamer♥.
There is a foreword by George Noory, host of “Coast to Coast AM,” which was started years ago by Art Bell. “Coast to Coast focuses on the paranormal and UFOs. Alan Steinfeld’s lengthy introduction reminds the reader, “There is every implication that behind the supposed alien presence, there lies a completely new vision of reality that is at once larger and more accurate than the current rigorously materialistic scientific vision.” He does a very good job of introducing each of the eleven chapters all in one place.
Chapter 1, “Government Mindset and Our Future Among the Stars,” was written by Nick Pope (nickpope.net), who is a freelance British journalist and media commentor, and who was an employee at the British government’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) from 1991 to 1994. One of his responsibilities was to investigate UFO phenomena to determine if they had any defense significance.
Grant Cameron (beyondpresidentialufo.com) discusses his new theory about the UFO phenomena and alien disclosure in Chapter 2, titled “UFO Disclosure and the Theory of Wow.” He explains, “When I came to this understanding of the wow aspect of UFO reports, everything started to make sense. The theory is that all they are doing is trying to get us to say ‘wow’, to realize we are not alone.” On the last four pages of his chapter, Grant Cameron reveals his reality that understanding consciousness is the key to the UFO phenomena and the whole phenomena is really “all about consciousness.” I so agree with these words: “It is not that we have to learn anything, [it is] just a matter of developing the ability to connect to the higher self.” And, “If reincarnation is true, then everything changes, because we are living multiple lives, and you probably have an association with ETs in those other lives.” Also, “Consciousness is ‘the ground of being’ that changes all the rules about reality.”
Dr. J. J. Hurtak and Dr. Desiree Hurtak (www.futurescience.org) combine their knowledge of astronomy, environmental science, and UFO history to create Chapter 3, titled “Extraterrestrials and Multidimensional Nonlocal Reality.” I underlined: “[…] some new scientific theories point to the idea that we ourselves may be local and multidimensional inhabitants of a living planet, representing intelligent life as one of many throughout the universe.” And, “[…] there are many different types of aliens with various agendas, and there are many other forces in the universe we can awaken to once we understand that ‘we are not alone’.” The Hurtaks discuss who they call “Cosmic Others,” which they classify into two subcategories: Extra-Celestials (ECs) and Ultraterrestrials (UTs), and describe their appearance as generally in an energy form, which has been known to reveal the outline of a human body or a glowing face [while ETs in general have non-human forms and seem more physical]. The UTs and ECs can also appear to be part-human and part-angelic. This discussion of ECs and UTs had my rapt attention.
I learned about “Making Contact” from watching Linda Moulton Howe’s weekly programs on her YouTube channel (www,youtube.com/earthfiles). Linda contributed Chapter 4, “Contact in the Implicate Order.” As Alan Steinfeld reports, after over forty years of research into the complexities of her ongoing investigations into UFOs and ETs, Linda can draw government whistle blowers into her trusted confidence. Linda reports that at least three competing ET races have participated in the evolutionary development of Homo sapiens on this planet. She is a strong advocate of humans being given the chance to know the truth about who we really are.
The essay by Dr. John E. Mack is Chapter 7, which is titled “Studying Intrusions from the Subtle Realm: How Can We Deepen Our Knowledge?” Something I marked as important was Dr. Mack’s report of an interview with an experiencer who had sensed that the beings (ETs) were struggling to connect with her at a soul level, even to take her soul, or to connect with her body and soul. She found that by emanating love toward them, the demonic or dark dimension of their being was affected. They seemed to pull back from the love she sent them and, at the same time, to thrive from it. A loving connection seemed to grow out of that struggle.
Whitley Strieber’s (www.unknowncountry.com) book was one of the first books I read about ETs and UFOs many years ago. Whitley’s Chapter 6 is titled “The Return of the Visitors.” Among other things, he discusses what was called a “mirror universe” by Homer, the presumed author of the “Iliad” and the “Odyssey,” two hugely influential epic poems of ancient Greece, who thought the “mirror universe” is where deceased humans go. His late wife reported after a near death experience that there was a sort of breathing between this and another universe, and that when we die here, our consciousness is transferred to another version of ourselves there. Whitley reports that a “mirror universe” is where what appear to be aliens come from.
The author (www.newrealities.com) titled his Chapter 7 “Extraordinary Actuality: My Journey to the Stars.” It is about his life-long compulsion with outer space. He quotes Tibetan Lama Govinda: “Lower consciousness is unable to experience the life of the higher worlds and is even unaware of their existence, although it is interpenetrated by them. But if the beings of a lower can raise their consciousness to a higher level, then that higher world becomes manifest to them.”
I confess that I was least drawn to Chapter 8, “Something Moving” by Henrietta Weekes (www.vyneproductions.com), a writer and performer, who portrays her abductions by showcasing the nonlinear quality of her experiences. I like this quote of Darin Stevenson, writer: “[…] We’re not a single thing, or a thing within a single dimension. Sometimes I think that nonhuman intelligence is actually what human intelligence is.”
Chapter 9, “Telepathic Contact with Extraterrestrial Intelligence” specifically deals with the use of telepathic (mind-to-mind) contact as the primary mode of extraterrestrial communication with humans. Darryl Anka (www.bashar.org) is “the perfect person” to write this chapter because he has experienced on-going interaction with an extraterrestrial named Bashar. I’ve been of the conviction that most people who channel are only expressing aspects of their multidimensional selves. This could also be the case with Darryl and Bashar. In fact, Darryl writes (and I underlined): “For all I know, Bashar could simply be an aspect of my own higher state of consciousness.” However, after reading some of Darry’s non-channeling experiences with Bashar, my mind is open to the possibility that Bashar could be an entirely different individual than just another part of Darryl’s multidimensional self.
Chapter 10, “Awakening to Our Cosmic Heritage,” is based on Australian Mary Rodwell’s (www.alienlady.com) investigations of 3,000 case histories with contactees. Alan Steinfeld describes Mary’s research as exploring evidence of contact from scientific, biological, psychological, anthropological, spiritual, and historical perspectives. I’ve watched/listened to several interviews of Mary during the last few years compliments of YouTube. Here are section headings in this Chapter 10: “Homo Sapiens Sapiens, a Hybrid Species?”, “Hybrid Human, Extraterrestrial DNA, and More?", “Dormant DNA: What Does It Contain?”, “Dormant DNA: The Next Step in Human Evolution?”, “The New Generations of Human”, “Homo Sapiens Sapiens Upgrades”, “The New Human and Innate Connection to Source of Consciousness”, “Homo Novis: Upgrades Guiding Humanity”, “Awakening to Contact and Communication with Interdimensional Light Consciousness”, “Non-Human Intelligences Assist with ‘Souls’ from Other Dimensions” is my favorite section in this chapter, and it includes these words: “The Cosmic agenda from multiple species of non-human intelligences appears to be complex and all encompassing. Although some souls have come directly from other planetary origins, some adults along with children recall their “soul” origins may be from other dimensions. Not all of these individuals incarnate at birth. There are what is called ‘Walk-in Souls’, sometimes referred to as a ‘soul swap’. This is a phenomenon where a ‘Walk-in Soul’ has incarnated in a human body previously inhabited by a different soul from birth. They understand the first soul of that human body/container agreed at soul level to vacate at some point in their human life and allow another soul to take over the human biological container. This is usually because they believe it is part of their soul mission to help with the awakening of human consciousness.”
In my opinion, Alan Steinfeld saved the best for last. Chapter 11, “ET Lineages and Human Evolution,” is his interview/discussion with Caroline Cory (www.omniummedia.com), who has “fully assimilated the awareness of other realms into her daily life.” Caroline lectures and coaches internationally on various mind-over-matter subjects and appears regularly as a guest expert on supernatural phenomena at major conferences and on television shows. From this fascinating chapter: “I found I could activate what I call ‘the full brain’. This is when the total capacity of the brain can merge with anything around you. This way you can gather any sort of information from any type of beings from other star systems. When you merge and become one with the other, there is no separation. I trained myself to do this. I call it ‘the merging process’, and I teach people how to do this. When you use this process to consciously merge with another, you know right away who they are, where they come from, and whether they are benevolent or not.” Near the end of the interview/discussion, Alan Steinfeld asks Caroline, “How do I open up to my universal self more?”
Alan Steinfeld quotes Albert Einstein at the end of his epilogue: “Still there are moments when one feels free from one’s own identification with human limitations and inadequacies. At such moments, one imagines that one stands on some spot of a small planet, gazing in amazement at the cold, yet profoundly moving beauty of the eternal, the unfathomable: Life and death flow into one, and there is neither evolution nor destiny; only being.”
