Spiritual gifts or psychic powers?  They are the same.  The bottom line is how one chooses to use such powers and gifts. 

I have a list I keep at hand for easy reference; admittedly, there is some overlap.  There is clairvoyance (psychic seeing), clairsentience (psychic feeling), clairaudience (psychic hearing) , claircognizance (inner knowing), clairolfactance/clairsalience (psychic smelling), clairgustance (psychic taste), clairtangency (psychometry/psychic touch), telepathy (communication without speaking), intuitive, and psychic (which could be argued includes all of the above, which is why I put “psychic” in so many places).

Psyche is defined as “the human soul, mind, or spirit” in basic dictionaries.  In medical dictionaries, it is defined: “1) the human faculty for thought, judgment, and emotion; the mental life, including both conscious and unconscious processes; the mind in its totality, as distinguished from the body. 2) the soul or self.”  At www.dictionary.com,  the adjective  psychic is defined as: 1) of or pertaining to the human soul or mind; mental; 2) psychology, pertaining to or noting mental phenomena; 3) outside of natural or scientific knowledge; spiritual; 4) of or pertaining to some apparently nonphysical force or agency; psychic research; psychic phenomena; 5) sensitive to influences or forces of a nonphysical or supernatural nature.”   The noun psychic is defined as “a person who is allegedly sensitive to psychic influences or forces; medium.”

I never have referred to myself as a “psychic medium.”  I don’t prefer that label—because I serve as a Divine instrument in numerous ways.  However, I used it yesterday when confirming that I can communicate with spirits—for clarifying. Guess there’s a first time for everything. My person has been “psychic” the entire life. 

Spiritual gifts aka gifts of the spirit are mentioned in several places in The Holy Bible. Some words from The King James Version are:  “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.”  “And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.”  “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” “For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the same Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another the interpretation of tongues; but all these worketh that one and the self-same Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.”  So, spiritual gifts (aka gifts of the spirit) are gifts of/from God/Divine.  

It is not necessary to “split hairs.”  And there are people who follow Biblical words strictly who would disagree with me, but I don’t care.  When one becomes sufficiently awakened and aware, and when one educates one’s self by study of history, anthropology, archaeology, etc., including how the books of The Holy Bible were combined, some under consideration weren’t included, portions of others left out, etc., one will move out of darkness into light.  It’s called enlightenment and, as in all matters, there are degrees of enlightenment.  Read, study, learn, and never stop questioning everything.

And, remember there are degrees/percentages of everything. The bottom line is how one chooses to use such powers and gifts. How do you choose to use your spiritual gifts/psychic powers?

When I opened the mailed package containing “Cosmic Cradle: Spiritual Dimensions of Life Before Birth,” revised edition (2013) by Elizabeth Carman and Neil Carman, I felt such loving, peaceful energy; actually, it felt like I was in a cradle and wrapped in gentle love. What a blessing!  I had ordered the book via Amazon, and it was shipped directly from the authors. Connect the dots, reader.

As I read the cover and intro pages, I saw several names of authors I recognized who recommended “Cosmic Cradle,” including C. Norman Shealy, MD, PhD, Larry Dossey MD, Joan Borysenko, PhD, Christiane Northrup, MD, and Bernie Siegel, MD. In fact. Bernie Siegel wrote the Foreword.  There are 355 pages, including notes and references and index.

“Cosmic Cradle” is sectioned into three parts.  Part One is “Pre-Birth Memory” and Part Two is “Pre-Birth Communications.” Sections in Part One and Part Two include (but not limited to): Children as Messengers, Memories of the Cosmic Cradle, I Was In Your Tummy Twice, Scanning Soul Planes, Welcome to Planet Earth, Our Soul as a Tiny Spaceship, I Saw All My Costumes, Souls Waiting in the Wings for Birth, Soul as a Sphere of Light, Cosmic Conception, Miscarriages and Stillbirths in the Light of Pre-Birth Plans, Conversations with Unborn Children.  

Felt so good when reading the reports quoting the experiencers that I didn’t want to stop reading, but the book is lengthy, so I had no choice but to read it over several days. I’ve read a dozen or so books on the subject of life between lives that focus on presenting case studies of people under hypnosis or in altered states of consciousness.  This book is different. These people always knew and/or remembered.

Content of Part Three (“Pre-Birth Wisdom Down Through History”) is very interesting and even comprehensive, in my opinion.  I was already familiar with some of it from reading over many years.  It was good to refresh my memory and to add more information.  Section titles include: The Cosmic Designer, Travelers from the Light, Journey from Forgetting to Remembering.
