Haven't read as many books as I usually read during the last six months. Unless otherwise noted, all books I read are nonfiction. I'm adding comments to some in the list below.
The Moses Code: The Most Powerful Manifestation Tool in the History of the World. James F. Twyman. NY: Hay House, 2008. (In the large appendix, Twyman shares his concerns about The Secret and subsequent work on his part to help people who felt disenfranchised by The Secret.)
Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives. Michael Newton, Ph.D. St. Paul, MN: Llewellyn, 1996. (This is a reread. First read this book shortly after it was released.)
Destiny of Souls: New Case Studies of Life Between Lives. St. Paul, MN: Llewelyn, 2000. (This is Dr. Newton's second book.)
The Age of Miracles: Embracing the New Midlife. Marianne Williamson. NY: Hay House, 2008.
Tales of a Female Nomad: Living at Large in the World. Rita Golden Gelman. NY: Three Rivers Press, 2001.
Top Secret: The Truth Behind Today's Pop Mysticisms. Robert M. Price. NY: Prometheus Books, 2008. (Found this in the new books section of my main library. One might expect this to be a book full of criticisms and condemnations, but he is actually mostly objective-which is not to say I agree with him on everything. I do recommend this educational book.)
Molly Ivins Can't Say That Can She? Molly Ivins. NY: Random House, 1991. (There's a lot of history in this book--Texas and Southern U.S. History, and it made me smile inside and out. Once I laughed so hard and so long that I thought I was going to do serious damage to my body.)
The Jesus Papers: Exposing the Greatest Cover-Up in History. Michael Baigent. NY: HarperCollins, 2006. (The sensational title gets one's attention, but this book is an excellent resource for students of ancient Middle Eastern and Biblical history. There are around 173 references and 421 footnotes in the introduction and fourteen chapters--plus color photos and maps. Fascinating!)
