I’m going to share the
December 20, 2010 ♥Angel-Light Beamer♥ article titled, “Hiring the Heavenlies,”
here and then add to it.
A while back, a little book on the sale
shelves of Half Price Books (national chain based in Dallas) caught my
attention. It was among several I quickly gathered at purchase prices from
$1.00 to $2.00--and new! Jean Slatter's "Hiring the Heavens: A Practical
Guide to Developing Working Relationships with the Spirits of Creation"
(California: New World Library, 2003, 2005) is easy to read and provides
step-by-step instructions. In my opinion, its title should be "Hiring the
Heavenlies" rather than "Hiring the Heavens."
Jean Slatter's framework is businesslike, which might surprise some readers who are drawn to the book. Some of the titles and headings are: Spiritual Temp Agency, Spiritual Committees, Spiritual Life Path Committee, Spiritual Conference Committee, Spiritual Joy Committee, Business Support Staff, Personal Staff. Her seven steps to hiring and working with your spiritual committee are: Name your committee, design your mission statement, list the specialists you want to hire, make a task list, launch your committee, hold staff meetings, celebrate your successes.
Some of Jean's excellent advice: Ask with intention and trust the universe to support you. Be open to receive. Be playful. Cultivate an attitude of gratitude. Intend for the highest good. Feel your wants. Have faith. (Know it will happen.) Stay unattached [emotionally]. Be patient. Stay in a state of happy expectation and appreciation.
This book has sections about how spirit talks to you and instructions on how to talk to Spirit, and Jean Slatter recommends talking to Spirit in a down-to-earth, conversational way. I couldn't agree more! No need to call upon every holy being you can think of. Our assistants are with us. All we have to do is ask. I will offer a caveat here, paraphrasing words of David Icke I heard on a program recently: "If what you want is a Porsche and it is not in alignment with what you came here to do, you can paper your walls with Porsches, but it's not going to happen."
One more thing: Until you have established a strong working relationship with your Divine Support Team (your heavenlies), your prayers, decrees, and affirmations are going to have negligible results (unless, perhaps, they take pity on you). If you've skipped this step, good luck to you. You're going to need it.

I want to add to this
here. Jean Slatter’s book is focused on the needs and wants of the reader.
However, the same principles can apply if one is focused on service to others--or
harming others, for that matter. The reader might want to read these articles
on the ♥Angel-Light Beamer♥ site: “Affirmative Prayer” (October 5, 2015), “Prayer—Imprecatory
and Intercessory” (January 24, 2015), “Imprecatory Prayer” (October 8, 2009),
“Hermetics and Negative Prayer” (October 20, 2008), “Prayer—Positive and Negative”
(August 19, 2007), and “Negative Prayer”
(November 22, 2005). As the most recent article explains, there are different forms
of prayer, including decrees/affirmations.
Many souls who embody at
this level of existence with the plan of a life of service to humanity are
accompanied by chosen and assigned crews/teams. Sometimes the crews/teams
arrive years later. Other souls who offer
their embodiment for service to others attract the attention of the heavenlies
and, once examined and accepted, are provided crews/teams. Many times these
souls attract others to assist. People
who make a conscious decision to begin engaging in service to others can follow
the guidelines of Jean Slatter in “Hiring the Heavens” to assemble their
crews/teams. However, the consciousness level and the light frequency of the
individual will attract crews/teams of similar frequency. Therefore, the
establishing and maintaining of a high level of consciousness and embodying
optimal light is very important. This can't be emphasized enough. People
harboring hostile thoughts about others and people with intent to harm others
and people engaged in the dark arts attract lower level astral entities—low light,
low consciousness.
Loving, compassionate
people attract loving, compassionate assistants, which are routinely called
angels. How deep is your love?
We are the Angel-Light
