SOUL SEAT LOCATION

A Facebook friend shared the link to a short, guided
meditation she had created. Very nice! However, she referred to an area in the
chest as the seat of the soul. That
caught my attention because, until a year or two ago, I had been going back and
forth between the thymus gland (aka high heart) and/or in that area of the
chest being where the soul is seated in the body and the pineal gland in the
brain being the soul seat. I finally decided
that the pineal gland was the place after researching and asking my sources. And
that was that.
And now I have come across someone who, without using the
term “thymus gland,” assigns the seat of the soul to be in the center of the
upper chest (where the thymus gland is located). So, I decided to do some research on the Internet
(once again) to refresh my memory. At https://upliftconnect.com/thymus-seat-human-soul
is a 2016 article titled, “Thymus: The
Seat of the Soul.” There’s a lot of good
information on the thymus gland in this article, but not why the author considers
the thymus gland to be the seat of the soul. In my internet search, I couldn’t
find many links to good articles about the thymus gland being the seat of the
soul (which doesn’t mean they don’t exist).
On the other hand, www.quora.com assigns the seat of the soul to
the pineal gland, and these words make sense: “The Tibetan book of death says a
soul would need 43 days to implant itself in a body. The pineal gland is the
first fully finished and functional part of the fetus brain, after 43 days of
pregnancy. First, it’s very near to the
forehead, getting surrounded by the rest of the brain when growing. After all,
if we projected the position onto our skin, it is at the place we call the
third eye. Right between your normal eyes.”
A short article titled at https://psy-minds.com/pineal-gland-seat-soul/
makes a case for the pineal gland being the soul seat, including: “The third eye is the gate to a higher
consciousness or inner realms and has rods and cones just like your real eyes.” That information is common knowledge among
people who have been on the spiritual aka ascension path for years (meaning
reading, studying, meditating).

I recommend reading it if you’re interested in more history. Here’s an excerpt: “Although commonly
attributed to Descartes, the idea that the pineal gland was the interfacing
organ where the spirit of man gained access and animated the human body was the
idea of a Greek physician named Herophilus. Three hundred years before Christ,
Herophilus [right] was dissecting corpses and documenting what he observed. His
specialties were the reproductive system and the brain. Prior to Herophilus, people believed the ‘executive
office’ of human consciousness was the heart. Egyptian mummies had their hearts
carefully embalmed and preserved while their brains were removed through their
nasal passages and unceremoniously discarded. But Herophilus knew that the
brain was the controlling center and he went on to discriminate between the
various parts of the brain and assess the different behaviors associated with
them. Herophilus noticed that the small
pineal structure was singular, unlike other brain features that are mirrored in
the left and right hemispheres. It is the first gland to be formed in the
foetus and is distinguishable at 3 weeks. It is also highly nourished. The
pineal gland has been supplied with the best blood, oxygen and nutrient mix
available in the human anatomy, second only to that of our kidneys (whose
function is to filter the blood of impurities). Because of this unique and
special anatomical configuration, Herophilus rightly concluded it had a major
role in consciousness and was the gateway to our real self.”

that tells about a highly intelligent and advanced child who began having
headaches and poor vision and finally died. An autopsy revealed a tumor of the
pineal gland. Draw your own conclusions or click on the link and read/scan.
It has been reported by many researchers and authors that
the pineal gland is shaped like a miniature pine cone. The Catholic Church has
used that symbol a lot throughout its history and continues to do so.
Let’s end with an excerpt from http://mozartcultures.com/en/bilim-en/ancient-dilemmas-where-is-the-soul-located/
: “Although, the answer has not been found on what exactly the soul is and
where it is, fMRI studies on the brain show information does not have a
specific location in the brain, but follows a pattern of fired neurons. Recent
research therefore stopped on searching for an actual location for the soul and
opened the discussion on what the soul is. How can we even find something we
think is from another dimension?”
Nevertheless, my sources (higher selves, etc.) and I vote
that the seat of the soul is the pineal gland.
