Ruth Montgomery reported on walk-ins in three
of her best-selling books: “Strangers Among Us” (1979) and “Threshold to
Tomorrow” (1982) and “Aliens Among Us” (1985). I’ve been re-reading these books
because it has been a long time since I read them. In Chapter 3 of “Threshold
to Tomorrow,” Ruth shares some thoughts of her friend Dr Albert Doss on suicide
which, in my opinion, are worth putting out there over and over again: “In my
practice of psychiatry, I must occasionally deal with persons who are
potentially suicidal. In your book [“Strangers Among Us”], you have pointed out
a new and valuable approach to this real and critical problem. After all the suggestions and techniques
normally used by my profession have been tried, the psychiatrist might discuss
with the patient the possibility of allowing his body to be occupied by a
superior (in spiritual understanding) being. This being would be allowed to
solve the insurmountable problems (as viewed by the patient) and also to carry
on his own expression in a life of service to mankind. The patient would be encouraged to keep his
body, the temple of the soul, in excellent condition, without drugs or a
self-inflicted mortal wound, so that it would be ready for the incoming Walk-in.
He would simply vacate his body during peaceful sleep. After all, in this time of organ transplants,
is it not reasonable that when a person feels that he cannot solve his problems
on the physical plane, he could allow a Walk-in to occupy his body and use it
to accomplish good for humanity?”
Absolutely!
There are numerous instances, where a suicidal person is relieved of the
body, and a higher-minded soul moves in to use the body for service to
humanity. And, there can sometimes be found "double occupancy," which we've also found in the years of our service through this human instrument that became available in the 1980s. Also, there are also some cases where the occupant of the body is
unable to keep it alive because of its weakened, diseased state, and another soul
moves in to revitalize and uses the body to serve humanity. The subject has
been controversial and can be challenging to describe to those who are not
familiar with the topic of soul dynamics.
