Someone was wondering recently what spiritual healing
actually is. Well, simply put, it is
healing the spirit also referred to as soul.
Some people include metaphysical healing under the umbrella of spiritual
healing, but some of us like to differentiate—for several reasons. One reason
is that many people equate the word “spiritual” with the word “religious.” They are related terms, but being spiritual is
so much more than being religious. Plus,
in today’s world, the term “metaphysical” has come to mean “occult” to many
people. All the word “occult” means is hidden; yet, some people, especially
religious people consider it to be an evil or anti-Christ word. Not true, of
course.
Let’s move on with some definitions of spiritual healing
from the Internet. You may notice that, in the excerpts from various sources
shared below, the terms “spiritual” and “metaphysical” seem to be used
interchangeably. My words are in brackets.

Spiritual healing is about the diagnosis and removal of the
spiritual root cause of the problem. When the root cause of a problem is in the

This is termed as spiritual healing. It involves the use of spiritual energy to
overcome the problem, such as removal of distress, caused by negative energies.
When those who are not affected by any negative energy distress are exposed to
spiritual healing energy, they simply receive the benefits of the additional
positive energy.

A simple definition of metaphysical healing is healing the
non-physical—beyond [more than] physical healing. “Meta” is beyond. “Physical” is the physical
world we see with our own eyes. Let’s
look at some definitions of metaphysical healing, by defining the term metaphysics.

philosophical study of that which cannot be perceived with the five physical
human senses". Another definition
of metaphysics may be derived from the meaning of its Greek roots - literally
"Meta"; meaning beyond or after, and "Physics"; the science
(or study) of matter and energy.
Again, simply put, spiritual healing is healing the spirit,
also referred to as soul, and metaphysical healing is healing the non-physical. I like simplicity.
