When considering expanding my memoir, “Adventures of a Traveling
Angel: 1990-2010,” I looked up the definition of “starseeds.” You see, as I recorded in the memoir, when I
was sitting in the park one day, a boy left his family to walk over for a
visit, until his dad (who had been speaking in a very controlling way to the
children for some time) ordered him to return.
Then another boy left his group at the park and sat down about 5' from
me with an expression and body language of contemplation. No one else was
anywhere near us. His mother had some difficulty getting him to leave, but to
her credit, she was loving about it. I wondered about the boys in the park, and
was given "starseeds." It
might be a good idea to include a definition of “starseeds” at this point in
the memoir.
I started with easy-to-find definitions. This was the “top definition” chosen by www .
urbandictionary . com. (contributed by Indigo Ivy on December 21, 2016): Starseed Is a person who is spiritually
aware, having a strong connection to the divine creator. Starseeds are said to
be old soul sent back to earth to transform the world into the heaven on earth
predicted after the end of times. Such persons may display spiritual gifts of
clairvoyance, clairaudience or clairsentence. Being able to read minds, others
emotions or see future events. (Example: The girl believed she must have been a
starseed because she has a feeling of connection to the stars.)
I like Wikipedia because, although one person can submit a
segment, others can challenge and revise it. According to https://en.wikipedia.org, Star People [aka starseeds] were introduced
by Brad Steiger in his 1976 book “Gods of Aquarius” [on contactees] which argues
that certain people originated as extraterrestrials and arrived on Earth
through birth or as a walk-in to an existing human body. It is a variant of the
belief in alien-human hybrids. There are many different beliefs as to the
origins of star people or starseeds. The term "star people" was taken
from an existing Native American spiritual concept. Steiger described "Star People" as
"humans who come from a special gene pool linked to visits by
extraterrestrials." They claim to
come into human lifeforms and suffer helplessness and total amnesia concerning
their identity, origins and life-purpose. The awakening process claimed to be
experienced is described as either a gradual series of realizations over time,
or an abrupt and dramatic awakening of consciousness. Through the awakening
process, they regain memories about their past, origins and missions. An increase in intuition, psychic ability,
and the sense of a more universal "self" that transcends mortal
identity are also commonly reported. Some claim communication via telepathy
with unearthly beings, either physical or non-physical. Some believe that life
exists on other planets. Most believe they have lived on other planets, and
many recount experiences they claim are memories of life on other worlds. The
concepts of spaceships, intergalactic travel, psychic phenomena and sentient life
forms in other galaxies are common.
For those who aren’t familiar with Brad Steiger (and I have been
for many years), here’s a description from his site and literature: Steiger
first began publishing articles on the unexplained in 1956; since then he has
written more than 2,000 paranormal themed articles. From 1970-73, his weekly newspaper
column, "The Strange World of Brad Steiger", was carried domestically
in over 80 newspapers and overseas from Bombay to Tokyo. Brad Steiger is a
world-renowned author of over 175 books with over 17 million copies in print. His titles include; "Mysteries of
Time and Space", "Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits and Haunted
Places", "Conspiracies and Secret Societies: The Complete
Dossier", "Touched by Heaven's Light", "American Indian
Medicine Power", "Strangers from the Skies", "Project
Bluebook", "The Rainbow Conspiracy", Real Encounters, Different

The number of sources for information on starseeds pulled up by
google was overwhelming. There are so many differences and contradictions in
the information. I particularly discount
stereotypical channeled information of any kind on any subject and much prefer
information that a person knows is coming from/through his/her superconscious
and higher selves.
However, this little paragraph (source missed) caught my attention
and seems like a good way to end this article: Although starseeds are born [or
walk in] without the conscious memories of why they are on the earth plane,
they may often have a subconscious knowledge of why they are here. One of the
first goals of the starseed is to lift the veil of forgetfulness and remember
their purpose. This purpose is often to complete a mission which usually
involves helping humanity in some way or another.
PS: You may be asking
yourself why young starseeds were drawn to my presence in the park that
day. Well, young children (up to about
age five) were drawn to my presence many times during the traveling angel
years—some of them pointing at me and wanting to be held by me. I’ll leave the
reasons why up to you the reader.
