Spiritual healing was (and still is) the principal component of our
ministry. All else is secondary. Back in
the 1980s, after a few years of spiritual focus and meditation and
contemplation, I knew my life’s work was to be in service to the Divine plan
for humanity—more specifically, “Jesus work”--and began asking to serve as a
Divine instrument. Perhaps it was the
many lives of the soul as a nun that guided. I was aware of being inspected and
discussed by humanoid persons from a higher plane of existence. Obviously, the
request was approved, because changes began.
We won’t go into the changes in detail in this piece except to say
that this person had not been much of a meat eater as more of the soul
descended into the body and the focus became more spiritual. The body began
rejecting animal flesh as food totally as the soul began to carry higher
frequencies of light energy that were necessary to serve as a Divine
instrument,
I was recently reminded once again—this time in a Facebook
discussion--that some healing facilitators of different orientation cannot
relate to the spiritual focus and being a Divine instrument. Coincidentally
(?), during the last few days, when converting hundreds of ministry handouts
and information documents to the current version of Microsoft Word (first time
I’ve done it in ten years, as I recall), I came across a handout about
spiritual healing based on information I’d seen on the Internet with which I majorly
identified. Obviously, now is the time to once again write about the subject. The following paragraphs may not flow
smoothly because they are excerpts of various documents.
Traditionally, spiritual healing is healing in which the healer is
felt to be an instrument of the divine, allowing the power of the divine to
heal through him or her. The healer acknowledges that he or she does not do the
healing. In a sense, the healer is only the instrument through which the person
seeking healing surrenders to the divine. Many healers acknowledge that they do
not do the healing. This has become a
well understood idea in healing, but to really live that fully is truly
radical. [www . heartofhealing . net].
The key feature which distinguishes spiritual healing, at least in
the traditional usage, is that the healer is seen as a vehicle for divine
intervention. Many healers, and so even this key feature may not serve to
distinguish spiritual healers from energy healers. Nevertheless, it could be
said that spiritual healing in its purest form relies totally on the
intervention of a “higher intelligence.”
The healing occurs spontaneously without the healer making conscious
choices. Usually a spiritual healer would not use particular techniques which
are chosen based on some rationale of what technique works for a particular
condition. Spiritual healing often simply involves the use of prayer. Sometimes
spiritual healing is very specific about the form of the divine which is being
accessed for healing. Some spiritual healers refer to their work as coming from
God or Source (or some other name for the divine). Others may say that angels
and spiritual beings intervene. [www .

A spiritual healer is a person who
allows himself or herself to be used as a channel for the flow of healing light
and energy. This can be done for the benefit of self and others. All healing
comes from God, plain and simple. A spiritual healer acts as a channel for this
healing energy--not its source. Even if the healer works in conscious
cooperation with [angels], they all work together as a unified channel for
God's [Divine’s] healing. Prayer
represents a means whereby we talk with God and express our wishes to God. In healing,
prayer becomes important, in that it acknowledges that there is a power, beyond
the self, at work. Prayer helps focus the healing work. Prayer and healing work
hand-in-hand. The real power of prayer lies in the faith behind the prayer.
When we pray for healing, we should present our healing requests to God and,
then, allow God [Divine] to respond to the needs of the individual. [www

That’s enough information to provide
some clarity. No need to lengthen this piece with more--except to say that in these years of semi-retirement, the soul has been ascending out of the body in preparation for life's end.
