Recently, my attention was grabbed by an article in the Dallas Morning News titled, "Minister Calls For Death Prayers Over IRS Complaints." Seems a Southern Baptist minister in California, Rev. Wiley S. Drake, used his church stationery and internet radio program to endorse former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee for president. So two members of Americans United for Separation of Church and State filed a complaint with the Internal Revenue Service, who can pull the nonprofit status of Rev. Drake's church because of his actions. Rev. Drake has now called for "imprecatory prayer" directed at the two men who reported him to the IRS so they will be "punished." He gave examples from The Holy Bible: "Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg." "Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow." "Persecute them. . . . Let them be put to shame and perish." A Huckabee campaign spokeswoman said, "We certainly don't condone the evil comments he's made."
The November 22, 2005 article on the ♥Angel-Light Beamer♥, "Negative Prayer," available in the archives, is worth a reread. In that article we write about Larry Dossey's 1997 book on negative prayer, "Be Careful What You Pray For...You Just Might Get It." There was an excellent interview with Dr. Dossey in a magazine that we wrote about, accompanied by the interviewer's story of her father and his negative prayers--which got quick results. Chilling! You think that negative prayers such as this Southern Baptist minister is calling for don't get results--or at least negatively impact the ones to whom they are directed? Think again!
Whether a prayer is official (such as "Please _________") or unofficial (such as "Hope that guy gets a speeding ticket" accompanied by negative feelings--or just anger about someone without the words spoken), the message is received by one's accompanying "unseen associates" and attempts are made to answer the prayer. Who is working with/for you--dark, lower level astral beings or higher level beings of light and love? One's usual frequency resonance vibration (and we all fluctuate some) attracts beings of similar consciousness and vibration, many of whom will carry out your wishes (according to the degree of your personal power). What's your intent? What's in your heart?
