I prefer the term “energy connections” rather than the term “psychic
connections.” The word “metaphysical is
added to the title of this piece because it attracts a lot of attention in
internet searches. I realize that most people call these psychic connections;
however, psychic is related to psyche which is of the mind—not the energy.
Psychic connections are mind connections in the basic meaning of the word. So,
unless a writer or speaker is referring to mind connections and not energy
connections, using the term “psychic connections” is using it out of context.
It occurred to me yesterday evening that it had been far too long since
I had addressed the issue of harmful energy connections personally. Yikes! First, I wrote names of people I suspected I
had energy connections with—in general.
Some of us are more finely tuned than others of us; nevertheless, there
are ways that most people can use to discern energetic involvement.
I remember facilitating wellbeing in a session with a person with
energy connection issues in his home. A major issue was his relationship with
his out-of-state brother whom he felt was too intrusive, with excessive
telephone calls, questions, etc. I suggested there were cords and connections
that could be severed, and he agreed. At the beginning of the session, the
brother called his land line telephone. Every time we severed the
cords/connections during the session, his brother called again. It became a game for us as we lightened up
and laughed a little. Remember this
story, for the same thing might happen to you. Others can often sense when they
have been disconnected, and some can be quite persistent in their attempts to
reconnect.
Has your mind ever picked up on conversations that are not your
own? If so, have you recognized from the content whose conversation it is? This can be the result of mind connections
with others; however, it can also be a result of energy connections. Either
way, you can terminate the connections.
Have you ever questioned how a particular discomfort or pain or dis-ease
could be yours and wondered if that was some other person’s stuff you were
carrying? When I gave up the “traveling
angel” lifestyle and moved into my apartment eight years ago, I began experiencing
soreness and sensitivity in the feet and ankles. With all the business of
unpacking and acclimating to the new environment, I ignored it as much as
possible rather than address the problem immediately (one of my shortcomings to
this day). A week or so after I moved,
the community was having a pot luck. Being
95% vegan since about 1985, I normally wouldn’t have attended, but I thought it
would be appropriate to participate to introduce myself. Believe me, sitting
across from someone chowing down on chicken wings was a big challenge, and I
left as soon as it was easy. Haven’t
gone to any more pot lucks around here. Anyway, another woman had walked out
just ahead of me, and I noticed she was walking gingerly and shuffling. Since she was going in my direction, I
politely greeted her with, “Hello. How are you?”
Her response was that she was trying to get her feet to keep moving, and
she then explained about the issues with her feet and ankles. She was my next-door
neighbor! Aha! Then I knew what had
happened. I was carrying her stuff. Apartments
are small; walls are thin. After I
entered my apartment and shut the door, I severed all energy connections with
the neighbor. Relief from the discomfort
in my feet and ankles was almost immediate.
Some might suggest that my energy field/auric egg and boundaries
were weak and/or damaged and that allowed mixing of our energies. Yes, that might have been correct. However, just severing the energetic
connections with this neighbor got results, and I never had the problem again
for as long as she lived in that apartment. (Eventually, her health
deteriorated so that she moved in with family elsewhere).
Back to yesterday’s self-work.
After I made my list of people I might have UNWANTED energy connections
with, I added names of people with whom I might have normal, healthy energy
connections and some acquaintances from decades ago with whom I had previous
disconnected. It was good to find that there were no energy connections with most
of the people from long ago, that the severing had been effective. There were a
couple of persistent men who had reconnected.
However, when I was given the full name of another man with whom there
was an energy connection, I was very surprised—at first. I had met him and talked with him once about
25 years ago, and he had, during the last several months, made contact on
social media. I had wondered why, but had allowed the social media “friendship.”
This man is not someone with whom I want
energy connections. I Am grateful for the information from my team/crew
yesterday. I also severed all energy connections
with R. because I had been receiving that name for months. I suspect he had
transitioned from his senior body and chosen to hang out around me.
It should be noted that before severing the energy connections, I
sent all the stuff of each person I might be carrying back to them and, when needed,
recalled any and all of my stuff they might be carrying. Some facilitators claim
that happens automatically when the connections are severed, but I like to
cover all possibilities that come to mind.
I then addressed all HARMFUL energy connections I might have with
others—harmful to them and/or harmful to my own self. A general severing of the connections will
usually cover all the people on your list and also cover any people you didn’t specify.
However, there are some people with whom you might need to process
individually.
Well, I feel so good this morning after yesterday’s severing of
energy connections—both unwanted and harmful! I’ve been remiss in not
addressing this common issue of humanity for my own person more often. Maybe I need to write a monthly reminder to do
this in general on my calendar. No, I’m given that frequency isn’t necessary—just
every few months—maybe quarterly.
