A Facebook Friend (also a Healing Facilitator) posted: Being able to recognize a “good” cord from a “bad”
one determines a gifted psychic healer.
Someone asked for a definition of “cord.” The FB friend responded: Energetic connections to people, things, and
other energies that are almost always defined as negative. These are energetic
attachments and psychic healers cut them to release their effect on you. The
"Silver Thread" or ethereal thread which connects the body souls to
the God Souls should be unaffected, however, I am by no stretch of the imagination
an expert on this...and though I am Reiki Certified I have never felt a
"cord" but I should think if you were say attached to something
negative...that you may also be attached to something positive. If this were
the case I feel it would be prudent not to be worked on by a psychic who could
not tell the difference. Possibly a psychic healer out there could comment on
this.
My Comment #1: How
about a Spiritual & Metaphysical Healing/Wellbeing Facilitator (of 25+
years)? I prefer the term energy connections because it covers more than just
psychic cords. Negative energy connections and, even better, harmful energy
connections. Psychic is from psyche, and that's about the mind, so the term
psychic cords just doesn't do it as far as I'm concerned. And there's more to
it than just "cutting" aka "severing."
Another Healing Facilitator responded to my comment: Absolutely agree […] And there is more to it
than just cutting like you stated.
My FB friend shared more thoughts: We need to expand this. In my post I
indicated that there are both good and bad, and for this purpose we will use
connections. If we receive messages from spirit, loved ones, or any other life
form, it has to communicate by some ethereal pathway. Certainly, we can also be
tethered to negative energies. This being the case, and the reason for my post,
is that we as energy workers/healers must be able to differentiate and only
focus our severing or closing on the harmful ones. I had a client who often
received contact from a passed friend. The incidents were very apparent. He had
some energy healing done and the practitioner advised that several
"cords" were cut. Since then he has lost that connection with his
friend. Was this the reason, and if so it would not be desired. I am comfortable with the logic, but since I
do not "feel" these connections/cords/tethers, I would ask the
question: If you can detect these, how
do you determine what to sever and what to leave in place? And do you agree to
my concern that some who are practicing sever everything.
My Comment #2: One of
the biggest mistakes seekers can make is using the services of a healing
facilitator who "cleans house" without discerning what is harmful and
what is neutral or beneficial. And those "everything goes"
facilitators are out there. Sadly. Many
facilitators have "angels" [what I call “Benevolent Ones”] working
with them and through their instruments, such as the South American healers.
My Comment #3: Many
facilitators in the USA have this type of arrangement as well. They/We have
teams/crews who are part of their/our missions. These types of arrangements get
the ego of the human person out of the way so Divine can do the work (and do it
better, I might add).
Next Comment in Thread: I absolutely agree that severing ALL
cords ALL the time seems irresponsible. An ethical energy worker would first
comprehend the entire relationship dynamics prior to considering cutting cords.
Also, it’s up to the energy worker to ensure that the client completely
understands what it means to cut cords and is in complete compliance.
