We’ve written about the layers/levels of the human aura several times on the ♥Angel-Light Beamer♥, including “Light Bodies (aka Auric Field) (3/31/14) and “Auric Body (Energy Field) Integrity” (2/25/19). Because we’ve recreated and revised the Soul-Personality-Energy Analysis and reintroduced it as two analyses/readings, now is a good time to write again. There is now a Soul-Personality Reading and a Wellbeing Analysis. The latter, with two parts, is majorly about the human bioenergetic and electromagnetic fields.
The information in this article is based on and taken from two of Barbara Brennan’s books—for the reader’s convenience in researching further. I had learned about the human energy field years before I discovered one of her books in a bookstore (which doesn’t mean I didn’t learn more from Barbara). Frankly, I’m of the opinion that the two books of Barbara that are in my collection are excellent and recommend them highly. I’ve given away many books over the last 30 or so years, but “Light Emerging: The Journey of Personal Healing” (1993), which I recommending obtaining first, and “Hands of Light: A Guide to Healing Through the Human Energy Field” (1988) are keepers. The information is presented clearly and precisely, with diagrams and images and neat sections printed on 8 1/12” x 11” pages. If you’re looking for detailed information on energy healing and related subjects, get Barbara Brennan’s books. In my opinion, if it is in Barbara’s reality, it must be true and accurate. Just FYI: Barbara closed her private healing practice in 1982 and established the Barbara Brennan School of Healing to train professional healers.
The auric body system has seven layers. The higher spiritual plane/level of our aura is the Ketheric aka Causal Body, which is the mental aspect. The Celestial Body is the emotional aspect of the higher spiritual plane/level, and the Etheric Template is the physical aspect of the spiritual plane/level. The Astral Body aka Astral Plane is a bridge between the higher spiritual plane and the physical plane/level of our beingness. The Mental Body is our lower mental aspect. The Emotional Body is our lower emotional aspect. The Etheric Body is our lower etheric aspect. From my research and experience, it is the physical plane/level of our auric body where most intrusions and contaminants are found, although some would argue that the Astral Plane rather than the Physical Plane where most of our issues with contamination are found. Barbara mentions that most of the body psychotherapy she had seen at the time of publication of “Hands of Light” utilized only the lower three levels/bodies (Etheric, Emotional Mental) and the heart. (A diagram of the Seven Layer Auric Body System is found on page 47 of “Hands of Light.” The entire Chapter 7, “The Human Energy Field or Human Aura,” is full of useful information.
The Etheric Body has the same structure as the physical body, including all the anatomical and all the organs. The Etheric Body consists of a definite structure of lines or force, or energy matrix, upon which the physical matter of the body tissues is shaped and anchored. The physical tissues exist as such only because of the vital field behind them. In other words, the field is a result of the physical body and not vice versa. The second level, next finer layer of the auric body, is the Emotional Body, and is associated with feelings. It interpenetrates the denser bodies that is surrounds. The Mental Body, third layer, extends beyond the Emotional Body and is also a structured body. It contains the structure of our ideas. Thought forms can be seen within this field.
The Astral Body extends out about one half to one foot from the physical body. A great deal of interaction takes place between people on the astral level—some of it pleasant and some not so pleasant.
The Etheric Template Body, fifth level of the auric body, contains all the forms that exist on the physical plane in a blueprint or template form and looks a lot like the negatives of photographs. It is the template form for the etheric layer. It is also called a template. It extends from about one and one half to two feet from the body.
The sixth level, the emotional level of the spiritual plane, is called the Celestial Body. It extends about two to two and three quarter feet from the body. It is the level through which we experience spiritual ecstasy, which we reach through meditation and other forms of transformation work.
The Ketheric Template aka Causal Body is the mental level of the spiritual plane, and extends from about two and one half to three and one half feet from the body. When we bring our consciousness to the seventh level of the aura, we know that we are one with the Creator. This is often perceived as a golden egg form, with the smaller tip beneath the feet and the larger end about three feet above the head. It expands when a person is very energetic. This is the strongest, most resilient level of the auric field, resistant to penetration, and protects our auric field.
Because the auric body can expand, we like to claim five feet around the physical body for the auric body.
In the first part of our Wellbeing Analysis we check the integrity and wellbeing of various areas of the person, including each plane/level of the auric body. As one might expect, this information in part one can be useful for self-clearing/healing or when having sessions with healing facilitators, especially when combined and compared with the information in part two.
