We the Angel-Light Team check the integrity and wellbeing of the body’s energy meridians in the first part of the Wellness Analysis we are offering at this time. In the second part, we look for specific conditions that are not aligned with wellbeing. (We offer a separate Soul & Personality reading.)
This article is to provide information about the body meridians provided by others on the Internet which, it seems to me, is helpful for individuals who might be inclined to question the veracity of information received from only one source (we the Angel-Light Team). For additional information other than that presented here, we recommend going to the sources cited to read.
The ancient Siamese (Thai) culture called them ‘sen’ lines. The ancient yogis who established Ayurvedic medicine referred to these energy pathways as ‘nadis.’ And traditional Japanese, Tibetan, and Chinese physicians called them ‘channels’ or ‘vessels.’ Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioners also referred to them as what can be translated as the now-popular term ‘meridians.’ It’s likely every ancient society that developed their unique healing philosophy had a term synonymous with ‘meridian.’ [Source: www. activeherb . com]
In traditional Chinese medicine, The Twelve Major Meridians are the primary meridians through which qi [aka chi; aka energy] flows. They are located in each arm and leg, have yin-yang properties, and are connected to a specific Zang-fu organ. There are six yin meridians that are located in the inner region of the arms, legs, chest, and torso. The six yang meridians are located on the outer region of the arms, legs, head, and torso. According to Wikipedia, in Chinese medicine, the 12 standard meridians, also called Principal Meridians, are divided into Yin and Yang groups. The Yin meridians of the arm are Lung, Heart, and Pericardium. The Yang meridians of the arm are Large Intestine, Small Intestine, and Triple Burner. The Yin Meridians of the leg are Spleen, Kidney, and Liver. In addition to the traditional meridians, in the West, we also have The Pericardium Meridian, which is a yin meridian and is paired with the Triple Warmer Meridian (also known as the Triple Energizer/Burner Meridian). Acupuncture improves the body’s functions and promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific anatomic sites--commonly referred to as acupuncture points, or acupoints. The most common method used to stimulate acupoints is the insertion of fine, sterile needles into the skin. Pressure, heat, or electrical stimulation may further enhance the effects. Other acupoint stimulation techniques include: manual massage, moxibustion or heat therapy, cupping, and the application of topical herbal medicines and linaments. So, the reader will recognize that the integrity and wellbeing of the body’s meridians is important, which is why we include them in the Wellness Analysis. The information presented here will be useful for people who aren’t familiar with the meridians and names. Obviously, there is much more information about the meridians available on the internet for those who want to know more.
